Multi-Systemic Inflammatory Syndrome in Children

The objective of our work is to study the multi-systemic inflammatory syndrome (PIMS) in children, determine its frequency, by analyzing epidemiological, clinical, paraclinical, therapeutic, and evolutionary profile these patients. A retrospective spanning a period 2 years from April 2020 March 2022. It concerns all children under age 16 admitted cared for pediatric emergency department university hospital Hassan II Fez multi-system (PIMS). Twenty cases PIMS were collected over this period. Multi-system has been described temporal association with COVID-19, usually within 6 weeks illness or exposure. patients varies between 8 months 15 years. All presented fever cutaneous signs, followed digestive signs neurological signs. frankly positive who had COVID-19 PCR and/or serology. treatment based on administration immunoglobulins corticosteroid therapy non-specific antibiotic majority (80%). evolution was favorable. should be considered presenting clinical biological associated COVID-19.
